About Camera- Michelle Hamm:
Created by a Frenchman Nicephore Niepce in 1827, was a mile mark for the technology industry. Little did we know, it would turn in to what we have today! The camera captures still life pictures of anything, and has changed life today. It has helped and is used for mostly everything around the world.
The Past- Catherine Saulino:
  • The first camera was created on a summer day in 1827 by Joseph Nicephore Niepce. The first phonogarphic image was made with a camera obscura. Befire Niepce, people just used the camera obscura for viewing or drawing purposes not for making photographs.
  • The first practical process of photography was invented by Louis Daquerre. He even partnered with Niepce to improve the method Niepce had already created.
  • Viable color films were brought to the market in the 1940s. These films used the modern technology of dye-coupled colors. Through these colors a chemical process connects the three dye layers together to create an apparent color image.

The Present- Ben Berkman:
Today cameras are in almost every electronic device. Two of the most common cameras today are the digital camera and phone camera. A digital camera takes videos or still photographs by recording images on an electronic image sensor. Phone cameras are also digital but are different because they are small and used in phones. Steven Sassan invented the digital camera and Philippe Kahn invented the phone camera. Today almost every single phone and iPod has a camera in it. Digital and phone cameras all have different modes on how it takes pictures. Both cameras usually can take videos, along with options of night vision, fast motion, blur reduction, thermal, abstract, and many more. Certain digital cameras can take pictures in HD for every frame of the second ( nikon). One of these HD cameras is called Nikon. The biggest difference from cameras in the past is they can be used in the computer. Camera software such as Kodak helps people show their pictures and save them to the computer. The software allows people to organize and share their photos easily along with making it easier for people to access photos on the internet. These connections with computers really make cameras what they are today.

The Future- Michelle Hamm
The future of the camera has endless options of what can happen. Technology has totally transformed in the past 200 years, and is still improving. The camera now has been crucial to our life, by capturing moments and memories for those. What can happen in the future with the camera is unimaginable. The most commonly used camera is on your phone. 72.5% of Americans own the IPhone. The camera on the IPhone is easy access & has great features. Even though Steve Jobs, founder of Apple, pasted away, there will still be many improvements to the apple IPhone. Cameras today are amazing with their clear pictures, and color effects. I believe cameras in the future will be much more advanced, and take 3-D pictures. Have a larger panorama lens, and let you zoom in even father. They are saying that there will be virtual cameras, or small lens cameras that you can put onto an article of clothing. They are also trying to make sunglasses with a camera pixel lens. With the uproar of technology I believe all this is very possible.
